45th President Trump’s Rally “Make America Great Again” —  One Volunteer’s Perspective

Trump Rally in Wyoming
Thursday, May 26, 2022, on the eve of thanks to those countrymen and women who have served — Memorial weekend — a final call went out for volunteers. “Please send your T – shirt size and your name to confirm your volunteer status. Without your help we couldn’t do this.” The words echoed from the Event Coordinator, who was equipping the volunteers. The excitement, anticipation, and goal were to get all preparations together as easily and quickly as possible.

Why wait till the last minute? Time is of the essence. Who’s committed?

Volunteers are generally from all walks of life. They are driven, motivated, and ambitious to be a single piece of a bigger picture. It’s more than having a seat on the floor, or possibly getting the magic ticket to the keynote speaker, or experiencing the smile that charges up the spectators. It encompasses an historical moment. Together, we make up “The Brand” https://cowboyethics.org/cowboy-ethics/.

Volunteers move stage furniture, put bunting up, set up tables and assist the facility staff, while all the time anticipating the next phase. There are moments of unknowns; however, eyes are on the prize with expectancy, “Wow, Former President Trump is coming to Wyoming.” There is a need for truth, and we need to support people of value through the unwritten cultural rules and the rule of law.

A recent two-volume publication by Iain McGilchrist, “The Matter with Things”, https://channelmcgilchrist.com/the-matter-with-things/,  explains the decline of our culture. He states that, “Indeed, if you had set out to destroy the happiness and stability of a people, it would have been hard to improve on our current formula; repudiate the continuity of your culture; believe you are wise enough to do whatever you happen to want and not only get away with it, but have a right to it – and a right to silence those who disagree; minimize the role played by a common body of belief (God); actively attack and dismantle every social structure as a potential source of oppression; and reject the idea of a transcendent set of values (God’s laws).”

Being a volunteer at this particular event, President Trump’s Rally “Make America Great Again”, confirmed the fact that our political beliefs and standards fight against the destruction of our culture and freedoms. This is crucial to the volunteers’ regular daily life. It validates our winning President, who was coming for more than just an “in your face” with corruption or another topic, such as gun control. Though some may disagree, it is a fight to keep our culture standing for the Judeo-Christian beliefs that our forefather’s fought to establish. This foundation is the Republican way summed up in the Wyoming GOP Platform of grassroots, pride, and belief — what we live by. (Please see https://www.wyoming.gop/platform/2020 of the April 2022 Platform. Compare that to https://www.donaldjtrump.com/about.) This rally tapped into the heart and minds of our forefathers’ ideas revealed in The Constitution of the United States.

I was informed that, at the rally which was held on Saturday, May 28 at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, nearly 10,000 persons were in attendance: at least 9,700 were in the building, and the others were outside awaiting the chance to get inside. A view of grand proportion!

Out-of-state speakers were Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert, Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs, Florida Rep. Kat Cammack and “The Pillow Guy”, Mike Lindell.

Along with Harriet Hageman, Wyoming speakers included Wyoming’s GOP party chairman W. Frank Eathorne, Sen. Cheri Steinmetz, Rep. Chip Neiman, Rep. John Bear, and former National Committeewoman, Marti Halverson.

Video addresses were made by U.S. Representative and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy,, and Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan.

45th President Donald Trump didn’t just endorse the Congressional candidate for Wyoming, Harriet Hageman, he also endorsed American values.

“Make America Great Again” is more than a slogan, it is the heart and soul of American life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Being a volunteer is just the beginning of making history.
