Camilla and I go back 20 years to when her boys were infants and toddlers and we attended Sonlight Ministries in Casper. We raised our children as single moms and neighbors. Camilla believed in obedience from her children and taught them Godly principles, along with always being active in her church. She supports the Right to Life.
Camilla has been like a sister and we have enjoyed annual camping and traveling experiences. She is a proud American and always displays the American flag whether from home or camping. No matter where her travels take her, she reaches out to the less fortunate street people and encourages them.
For nearly five years she was employed by and made memories at the Natrona County School District in Special Education. To this day her students recognize her and share what has been going on in their lives.
For countless years she has kept a tradition she started on Valentine’s Day and brings gifts, her testimony, refreshments and entertainment to The Women’s Transformation Center at Wyoming Rescue Mission. Included in the program are the girls from the Good News Club in Glenrock, singing songs they rehearsed over time. As it draws to a close, each lady receives a rose!
I believe her character has brought her into the Legislation! Volunteering with her during Republican Party fundraiser/awareness banquets and picnics, is not a simple task, as she does a project with fortitude and intricate planning, making it possible for others to know their candidates and understand issues our State faces. Her behind the scenes leadership brings others on-board by educating the community. She sees it a civic duty to bear one another’s burdens. To step up and be an example! Do right, with a cheerful heart, and encourage the same!
As it is apparent, Camilla stands for traditional families that share in caring for one another so there is balance. She has built a firm foundation by having an ear for Wyoming, recognizing and believing in our powerful natural resources and leadership.
I have come to know Camilla as a person of truth, who stands for life, who puts action to her thoughts and words, and believes there is hope for the State of Wyoming. I give Camilla Hicks my personal endorsement.
